Constant thick mucus :-S

For about 2 weeks now I've been blowing my nose constantly. At the beginning it seemed like a regular cold that never really went into a full blown cold. But 2 weeks on and I'm still blown if my nose every few minutes. Sometimes it's clear and sometimes it's green and today it's been electric yellow and very thick. Sometimes it gets caught in my throat and I have to cough it up. It's awful

I'm prone to sinus infections, but apart from the constant need to blow my nose I feel fine. No head fog or sinus pain like I would have with a normal infection. I'm worried however, that it may turn into a sinus infection as it's been going on so long.

Can anyone tell me if there's a nasal spray or Sudafed or something that I can take that will help clear this and prevent an actual infection, or do I just need to let it run its course?

Could it be hayfever related?
The biggest difference for me on the phlegm front was cutting most diary out of my diary.

You can get a saline spray called Sterimar that might help. But the green and yellow colours would tend to suggest an infection whether or not you feel rough.

Thanks both.

Went to the pharmacy and got a different decongestant. Hoping it works, the pharmacist recommended it. I can already breathe a bit bitter since taking it an hour ago

My DS and I have perennial rhinitis, which is all year random sinus allergic reactions (not just pollen). When it flares up, I find beconaise nasal spray is good but need to take consistently for weeks.

My DS gets away with antihistamine tablets over a few days.
