Does this look like chicken pox?

Hi, my little boy is 9 months old.
We went to a outdoors party 2 weeks ago and found out the next day someone there developed chicken pox 😩.
I don't think my little boy went near the boy whose developed chicken pox as all the other children were older and all running around while we were just holding our little one and we hadn't stayed long so I had hoped we'd be OK.
I'm now on high alert and checking him over though and tonight I noticed this on the top of his bum 😔, does it look like chicken pox?

Sorry op it does. Mind you some children only get one or two spots and really don't get too poorly.

I agree, does look a bit suspicious. I'm pretty sure chicken pox is very transmissible. Not all kids suffer with it though, mostly mild.

Thank you both, I suspected as much from all my googling 😩, will nervously wait to see whether there is more tomorrow and what the next few days hold.

I agree it does. My middle child had about 4 spots and was fine.
Its very easily transmitted

The timing and appearance fit a chicken pox infection. Was he off colour 24-48 hours ago?

No not at all, thats why it's really taken me by surprise, he's been very happy today, eaten loads, slept well (usually when ill or teething sleep is the first thing to be disrupted!) and I took his temperature after I saw the spots and it's normal.

Yes that does look like it. My 2 caught it at the same time. Baby was 10wks old and other was 2 and a half. Baby didn't really seem bothered by it at all. 2yr old was really bad! Hopefully ur little one won't be so bad 🤞🏻

The spots have disappeared this morning!
