Has anyone been on a 3 month waiting list for something recently but had their appointment within the first 2 months?

Sadly not in my experience, I am awaiting for a gastroenterologist appointment and a hysteroscopy, I was referred last August and September. I have chased them up and even complained to PALS as I am suffering quite a bit as a result of one issue. Just told there is a huge backlog and it will be at least another 3 months.

@ImaHogg I am waiting for a hysteroscopy as well so sounds like I will be at the very end of 3 months then if I'm lucky. Thank you

I had an NHS referral at the start of 2020 so before Covid and our local waiting time then was 26 weeks for a hysteroscopy so i dread to think what it is now!

I did enquiry privately but it’s was £££’s! Looks like we have a long wait.

DS was referred in January to urology. I chased up as we neared the 18 week point, and was told current wait is exceeding 52 weeks.

I phoned the consultants private secretary Thursday and was given an appointment this morning. He is now booked in for surgery in a fortnight. Money well spent for us.

I was referred for a hysterectomy in July, on the list in December and had it done 2 weeks ago
