What do you think guys, picture has been sent to GP , do you think I’m worrying unnecessarily about this mole?

I would be pretty concerned about that if it were me. Glad to hear you've contacted the GP already. Hopefully it will be benign.

Have you tried showing it to a phamacist?

Is it definitely a mole not an injury?

Does it hurt?

ThePontiacBandit · 04/06/2021 15:09

Definitely worth that being investigated. Be prepared to be referred to Dermatology on a two week wait.

Monsterjam · 04/06/2021 15:11

Thank you. I’m sure itS a mole not an injury.
Just hadn’t noticed it mutating till now ahh

Glad you have sent to GP. Have they been in contact soon

LaBellina · 04/06/2021 16:05

Good that you sent a photo to the GP.
Sorry OP but I would be concerned about it in your case. Hopefully they’ll respond soon.

Just so I don’t send myself into a unnecessary spin.... I’m presuming people are concerned it could be cancerous? X

I can’t judge because I am not a medical professional but the rule is that if a mole starts changing, it needs to be checked.
Better safe then sorry.

lljkk · 04/06/2021 18:00

could be an infection, could be harmless, could just be ugly.
Skin doctor programme on telly is great for seeing the huge variety of unsightly skin conditions people get.

VaguelyInteresting · 04/06/2021 18:04

It’s impossible to tell what’s going on. I sometimes get zits on top of moles that look gross.
I’ve also had itchy moles, spready moles, lumpy moles and once or twice vanishing moles.

I’ve had more moles checked for weird changes than I can count- only one has ever been biopsied and that was negative. And I’ll keep taking ‘em in as long as they keep being weird.

You’ve done the right thing. Just try not to worry now.

How are you? I've gone to the GP with a strange dark mark that has appeared. It isnt smooth. Waiting for dermatologist appointment. They said within a month as very busy. Now I'm worried they should be seeing me within two weeks.
