Broken tailbone?

I know there's nothing they can really do for it so won't be turning up at A&E or the gp but has anyone ever broken theirs? I fell fairly hard on it and it's painful to get from a seated position, painful to urinate and number 2. Not much pain when sitting just a weird numb feeling up my arse! What can you do for it? Just get on with it?

I did this. They sell doughnut cushions at chemists and such... I was too proud to get one. If I ever did it again, I would buy the damn cushion. At the time, I had to put a towel down on the bottom of the bath to cushion the fractured tailbone. It was still awful getting out. The pain went on for ages. I sat on a lot of cushions, but think the doughnut would've helped.

It is possible you have just bruised yours, in which case, the pain won't last so long. Weeks, rather than months. Sad

Actually, if there is numbness in the ‘saddle region’ or difficulty with urinating or defecating, I think you probably should get it checked.
