Large raised mass on lower abdomen

Hey everyone,
I have booked a GP (well telephone) appointment but wondered if anyone had had this before.
Whenever I lie flat on my back I have a raised hard mass on one side of my lower abdomen. It changes sides sometimes. There is no pain. I have a fibroid in my womb but wouldn't imagine it to cause this much swelling?
I'm starting to get worried.
Thanks!

Id be pushing to see a medical professional ASAP about that. It's definitely not normal

Could it be a hernia?

Thankyou. I've just been reading about fibroids and they do cause swelling like pregnancy, it's just strange how it moves sides sometimes.

How did it go with the GP OP? Hope things are moving forwards for you.

If it changes sides that would make me think it could be something to do with your bowel. Do you get constipated or have a lot of gas?

What did the doctor say, OP? It looks quite worrying. I hop you're ok.
