Blue badge renewal

I am not sure where to post this but I hope I can get some replies here.

I am wondering if anyone here who uses a blue badge have found it impossible to renew their badge because of all the changes in regulations.

I managed to do it quite easily for my mum, but then her mobility issues have worsened since the last application - it is the process you are struggling with, or a change in what limitation is accepted?

Ours wasn't a renewal, but we were initially declined for my dh. I rang and spoke to the asesessor and asked what more was needed. I explained how my dh's disability impacts him and how it affects our family. He asked me to put it in writing with some more evidence, which I did, and it was granted on appeal. I wrote back thanking him, it meant that much. Good luck.
