Back story is I have been struggling with anxieties and depression for a few weeks gradually getting back to my old self as furlough ended and I returned to a stressful job with long hours.
This morning I was checking a delivery and an item was missing among many.
I opened a box of something else and saw the missing item and told my colleague who rushed over to look.
When he looked it was all the product that it was supposed to be and not what I believed I saw.
I'm worried as dsis has some type of schizophrenia and believed she has been touched by things and saw our late df on Her landing.
It could be a senior moment as we often say however I really feel I saw the label I thought I saw.
Thanks in advance.

When your colleague came over and said the item was not there, did you keep seeing it there? I ask because when someone tells me I’m hallucinating, it doesn’t go away. I still see or hear it and it is still real to me. So if they said, no it’s not there and you looked again and it was gone it most likely was just a tired brain/fatigue caused blip.

(I am diagnosed with schizophrenia but is well controlled with my medication so I rarely get psychotic breakthroughs.)

If it’s just that you think you saw something written that said something else - couldn’t that be seen as suggestion creating a mistake? I thought hallucinations caused by schizophrenia involved more emotive subjects than labels usually?

No when my colleague came over I went to show him then realised the package wasn't what I thought.I was tired though v long day yesterday.Just odd that I really thought I saw what I wanted to see.

Sounds like you had a long day and maybe felt a bit stressed. It's an easy mistake to make. I don't think you need to worry Smile

Could peri-menopause be at play? The anxiety and brain fog can be very intense.
