Anybody have a cervical ectropion? I am just feeling so upset about having a cervical ectropion.

It’s totally normal! Don’t worry about it, honestly.

I had it, last time I had a smear the nurse told me. Never had treatment, that was 3 years ago

Yes. I wasn't aware of it but it made me bleed a lot when i had a smear so I had it zapped off with a laser. It was painless.

Hi ladies. Did any of you read and research about cervical ectropion online or did you trust your gp/gynaecologist and move on with your life?

I had treatment two, possibly three times for mine.

Mine was causing issues with random bleeding and also bleeding after you know!

It is a minor procedure but my gynae was lovely and I had generals for my treatment as awake under local is too traumatic for me.

It had seemed to settle after initial treatment but it came back not long after but after last treatment I've been okay.

That is unusual as usually one course treats it.

They suspect mine was caused by having a cone biopsy on cervix many years ago.

I've had some symptoms again so suspect it is possibly an issue again!

It is very simple to resolve so please don't panic. Very common also.

I was told I had this last month. This month I have had constipation and strained a little but bled after, has anyone else had this?

I have this too. The nurse told me at my last smear. She then whipped out a picture chart with every possible type of cervix and showed me mine! Said it was nothing to worry about.
