Foot pain

Help! I’m on holiday in the middle of nowhere and out of the blue since yesterday I’ve had an agonising pain on the top of one of my feet which comes and goes out of the blue. In between it’s fine, no swelling, not painful to touch but it makes me scream in pain when it kicks off, which has so far been when I’m walking about the rental cottage barefoot. Everything I google says rest and regular ice packs. DH is doing the driving but it’s ruining the holiday as I’m (almost!) literally treading on eggshells! Any ideas anyone? I’m a bit fatter and less fit post lockdown but have just been doing gentle walks.

Maybe halux rigidis? If it's across your toes area? I'd wear trainers loosely done up in the house and then get a podiatrist appointment

And take anti inflammatory

Thanks Heneage. Good idea-am doing that and have booked a podiatrist appointment for when we get home
