3 ear old ds has a cold thing and is very miserable

He has been asleep since 2.30pm. He doesn't nomrally nap in the da. I went up to him just now to get him up but he says he justs wants to sleep.
What would you do? Lave him as he might be sleeping it off but will he be up all night?

If it was me in your position I'd let him sleep it off. My DD1 (3.5) is like this at the moment and she has gone back to having 2 naps during the day and sleeping all night as well as she is so run down. She hasn't had a daytime nap since she was 2.

I suppose there is the chance you might find him cured by the evening and not wanting any more sleep but personally I think the body knows best and if he wants to sleep now then he should.

At least if he is up all night it means he is feeling better , I know with my two they would still go to sleep within an hour of their normal bedtime even when they have had a long nap during the day.

I went in to check on him and he is dead to the world so I'm not sure he would wake up anyway!!
Only thing is he's not wearing a night time nappy so hope he wakes up if he needs the loo

just to pdate he woke up on his own at 5.45pm and then went back to bed as normal at 7pm and slept all night
Seems a bit better this morning just got a really bad cough

Glad to hear he's a bit better. He's doing exactly what my teo have been doing for a while now, I've had it too and it does wear you down.
