Hi, I have a tiny lump on the back of my head, it's about the size of a spot, it's not sore but it's under my skin and hard and it moves around a little bit, I'm very scared to go doctors anyone had this before? Thanks

My DD had something like that.
It was a cyst which they sajd would probably disappear by itself, which it did. If it had persisted, it could be removed in a tiny op with a local anaesthetic.
So see your gp to get it checked out , but don’t panic x

Hi Thankyou for replying I think I've had it over a year now, how long does it usually take to disappear? I have the worst anxiety and thinking the worst

If its causing you anxiety then personally I would get it seen to so that you can put it to bed and move forwards.

It took maybe 10months, but we didn’t know how long it had been there, unnoticed.
Just get it checked and you’ll feel so much better.
(There’s another kind of cyst which is like an ingrown hair in it’s own little sac. They form on or I guess under the scalp and are easily removed too)

It sounds like my dds entirely harmless one. I expect they’ll have a look at it to put your mind at rest x

It's like the size of an actual spot and hard so did think at first it was just that then realised it was under my skin when it didn't go away after months, I'm glad it sounds harmless I will 100% ring them x
