Mouth Ulcers

Just a bit of a self-pity rant really.

I've got a couple of mouth ulcers on the under-side of my tongue and it fucking kills. Every time I talk they rub on my teeth and make me talk strangely, and it hurts when I eat!

Try some Bonjela. Hope you feel better soon.

I find Iglu is good.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 19/05/2021 21:26

Iglu is the best. Also throw out your toothpaste with SLS in.

Elouera · 19/05/2021 21:29

Do you get them often, or is this a 1 off from scratching/biting on your tongue?

Regular mouth ulcers can be a sign of a deficiency like anaemia, chrohns or hormonal issues.

I agree with bonjela or a stronger, adult numbing ulcer gel. They are SO annoying. When I have one, my tongue seeks it out to lick and probe it!

BobaCobb · 19/05/2021 21:31

I find mixing salt in water and gargling it sorts them out after a day or so.

Itsanewdayforme · 19/05/2021 21:42

Ditto, exactly the same right now word for word. It’s so miserable. Sending you sympathy and empathy 💐

Bonjela won’t touch it. The best thing i have found is Anbesol.

I’ve been recommended to take B12 and have been taking it for over a year now but not sure that it’s helped much.

Thanks everyone. This is a one off I hope. Had an unusually stressful week last week so I'm fairly sure it's the result of that.

I think I have some Anbesol actually- good shout.

@Itsanewdayforme I hope yours clear up soon. If I'm silent and don't smile or anything I can forget about it for a while 😂
