Excessive facial sweating.

I have suffered with excessive facial sweating all my life, it's concentrated around my nose and top lip. My forehead and scalp are fine. To be honest, it's the only place I seem to sweat, everywhere else stays dry even in hot weather. But even on a cool day I can be sweating on my face, enough for others to notice. Often it's not related to room temperature at all. It's so annoying and makes applying make up a nightmare in the Summer.

I have tried FaceSaver Gel (useless and sticky) and have tried Odaban ( stingy and uncomfortable). Is there anything else I could perhaps try - anything on prescription from my GP? Or would Botox work?

Following as my daughter has the same, literal rounds beads of sweat on her nose sometimes and has had this since she was a baby. Hopefully someone will know more than I do!

Fingers crossed someone will have a solution. I know Botox is used for excessive sweating in armpits, but have never heard of it being used on the face.

It's so annoying. Sometimes it's running down my face despite the room being cool.

Oxybutynin is a drug that's used for excessive sweating. It can't hurt to ask. Especially when it's your face.

This sounds like hyper hydrosis. I know someone who has this on their hands and was embarrassed about it. they were given a type of electrolysis machine to use to reduce it via the gp. Worth speaking to your gp if its causing you issues.
