Permanent exhaustion

It's driving me nuts. Husband often lets me have an extra hour or two in bed- including mid week. I wake up tired, spend my day tired and go to bed at a sensible time yet still tired.

My diet isn't amazing but I'm going to start working on that. But surely that doesn't account for my sheer exhaustion.

I work 30 hours a week, two kids. The usual. But even when they were both babies (12 months age gap so it was 2 babies) I was never this tired

Thyroid? Vitamin D? Might be worth a blood test MOT? My husband keeps pestering me to get mine done because I'm the same . Turns out I can't follow advice but can hand it out!! Hope you get it sorted

I definitely need a blood test. I had one 12 months ago and was told it was fine. But then was put on antidepressants.

I just hate the constant aching limbs and fuzzy head

Magnesium or peri menopause? So many reasons - def get a dull blood panel and ask specifically for vit D, iron and magnesium as well as everything else. They often don’t test vit D as routine. Good luck op.

Did you watch the channel 5 programme last night about menopause Hmm

Heartofstrings · 13/05/2021 07:51

Peri menopause? Shock I'm only 34 and my periods are SO light these days

It's worth a watch on C4 catch up. I'm mid 40's and I feel the same recently. I'm sleeping solidly for 8-9 hours a night, sometimes more, but feel like I have no energy. My exercise is right down because I just don't feel like I have the energy for it and I constantly feel fuzzy headed. My diet is decent and I take daily multi-vitamins. I can't decide if I've got mild depression, lockdown fatigue or it's peri-menopause.

Can’t hurt to get blood tests done. I’ve been exhausted recently but didn’t mention it to the GP as I thought I would be told it’s just due to my depression. Was having blood tests for other reasons and turn out I have pretty low iron levels.

I’ve only been taking supplements a week but starting to feel a bit better.

I had a call today with the doctor. He's asked me to book a blood test. Feels good to take action. My arms and neck and head and legs just ache. Kids are amusing themselves in the garden. I'm too tired to bother
