ECG irregularities

So I had an ECG today which is apparently routine for meds I'm on (even though I have been on them for five years and no one has asked me before to have one). I was hooked up for a short while and the nurse then checked with the dr and said all is fine but asked if I get chest pains, to which I said no. She then said she had asked because there was three irregularities where the line went down instead of up. She then sent me on my way. Now I'm panicking. I called back up to see if I could speak to an actual GP, to be told a dr can call me in a week Confused

I had this, picked up on a routine ecg in March. It's called 'inverted t waves'. I've just had an echo scan and now awaiting appointment with cardiologist. Have you been having any chest pain?
apparently it can mean a number of things but it can also be normal in some people.

Don’t panic. I have ecg irregularities and ended up having all sorts of tests- ehco and cardio stress test and everything was okay. They said some people do just have hearts that beat a bit differently to others and that’s ok. Not all bodies are exactly the same.

Try not to worry.
Like Bagelsandbrie I had all kinds of tests after having several weird episodes, dizzy, faint, could her my heart doing all sorts of weird rhythms in my ears. DH took me to out of hours at the hospital. Expected to be sent home but they kept me in for the night with ECGs through the night, BP checks every hour...was thinking all sorts!
Was given appointments for echo test, stress heart test on nightmare treadmill wired up, 36 hour portable ECG, everything.
Turned out nothing serious, just have a heart that dances to its own jig. Still wakes me in the night sometimes when it decides to jazz improvise but I’ve learned not to panic.....tea & a book instead of trying to sleep.

Thanks guys! That's put my mind at ease a little! I think the fact they said there are irregularities but didn't explain much and then sent me off without a second visit or a conversation with a GP, perhaps was a little wrong. Hopefully now I've asked for a dr to call me, they'll explain a bit more to me!
