Loose stitch straight after wisdom tooth extraction

I only had tooth extraction this morning. I've just had my first look and the stitch is sticking upright rather than lying flat. Dentist is closed until tomorrow. Will I need it redoing? Sad

no, it's probably just a part of the suture thread that was trimmed after tying the stitch. try not to worry. are you going back to have them out or are they dissolvable?

keytostart · 10/05/2021 19:32

@yummytummy they are the dissolving type I think.

that's good then. you can always give the practice a call tomorrow if you are still worried. did the extraction go ok?

The extraction itself was much easier than I had thought it would be thanks. Now I am all swollen underneath my lower jaw/ neck and it hurts but I'm a wimp. Grin
