I was om here a few weeks ago with really bad toothpain (was weekend).
I put up with it and saw my dentist by which time the pain had gone and i just refrained from going anywhere near the tooth.
I have a huge root filling which has come loose (possibly due to wisdom tooth growing into the tooth sideways but that coming out at later date ).He said if i could put up with not chewing on it ect for a while he could prob save the tooth by crowning it.The other option was to have it out.
So i have an appt for a crown in a couple of weeks and obviously cant chew or risk dislodging it in the meantime.
last night i woke up with the most excrutiating pain again-i mean it really was bl*y awful-like someone was holding an electrical wire in my socket !
It went after a couple of hours.
I look in the mirror this morning and the whole tooth appears to have a split down it from bottom to about half way up ?
I cant see my dentist until next week as he`s on holiday.I am entitled to use the emergency walk in unit about 40 mins away but will they just take the tooth out if its bad again.Would they crown it ?(i dont think so but i can put up with thiat sort of pain until my dentist comes back )
Will they charge me a huge amount ?Can i still have it crowned or will only my dentist do this ?
