gottokeepplodding · 05/05/2021 19:09

Results are 5
LDL 2.3
Can't remember the other name but it is 3.43

Been told there is fat in my blood and also slight liver inflammation. How bad are my results?

TIA

There’s usually a total cholesterol - which should be 5 or below
LDL (bad)
HDL (good cholesterol) -1.20 & above is good
Triglycerides -I do know this can be high if you drink a lot of alcohol -(table in the link below of the good figures)
Ratio -the higher the ratio the higher the risk, I think below 2.5 is preferable but may be remembering incorrectly.

Are you able to get a print out so that you have all the figures?

Thank you for your reply. I will ask for a printout. The annoying thing is I don't drink alcohol. Maybe that's where I am going wrong 🙈

There are other reasons for triglycerides being high, it’s just when mine were high the dr asked how much I drink!

Ratio -I had remembered wrong. It’s good if below 4.5 not 2.5
