Vision blurriness and distorsion

A couple of days ago I was out walking my dog, the sun was quite bright and I suddenly realised my vision was a bit blurry. Got home and when I look in the mirror the image was distorted, reading was difficult as words seem distorted too. I called 111 who told me to call eyes hospital then was given other numbers to call all very useless. Symptoms went away after 20 minutes.
I have been feeling quite tired so got some iron as I have had low irkn before. Ive got blood test on thursday and Im seeing the optician next monday
I wear glasses but haven't had my eyes checked in a while.
It was quite scary and Im freaking out a bit.. has anyone experienced this before or know what it could be?

Could have been a migraine with aura. I get them sometimes (I don't get the sore head, just visual disturbances)

I didm't have a headache though.. could it be caused by hayfever?

I dont get the headache, just wonky vision
Bright light can cause it among other things
