Tons and tons of thick conditioner, section your hair off and just work your way through it. It's the only way I'm afraid. A friend to help you out is a good idea!

PandaG · 14/11/2007 16:35

you do need someone else to do it - my sympathies, I've had them a couple of times when my dc have

DaphneHarvey · 14/11/2007 16:36

Invest in Hedrin. It really does work. Its like a very fine inoffensive oil which makes hair soft and very easy to comb through when you wash it out. With your type of hair, I might be tempted to do the combing before washing it out. Will probably work wonders on the frizz too. Costs a fortune, but well worth it.

Sympathies... I got to 45 before having my first louse courtesy of DD!

Full Marks solution might work well on your hair. Its what we used... my hair is long, dead straight, fine and I ended up having to wash it out with Fairy liquid to stop looking oiled but it wasn't a problem on DD's slightly less fine wavy locks.

If you can't get that tonight, nit comb with loads of conditioner.

Poor you. Never had the lice.

But have had the worms....twice.

MaryBS · 14/11/2007 16:50

Hedrin, unless you're anywhere near Cambridge, in which case the Medical Entymology centre is offering free treatments/combings in your own home.

Hi

Another fan of Hedrin! My DD gave them to me 2 years ago and its really unpleasant but this stuff really works and fast.

My dd gave them to me 2 years ago and i have hair that i can sit on !

From experience i never use any trestments.
The metals combs are better than plastic.
Use on wet hair and comb in section .
I comb each section until its clear for 20 stokes.
Check eack stoke for lice and remove with a tissue.
You should remove every last little bu**er in about an hour.
I repeat every day and usually find 2 or 3 the next day, then maybe 1 and then none ect ect.
Good luck
