Coming off hypotension meds- side effects??

Two questions really:

If you've ever had post natal hypertension, how long did it take you to come of the medication?

Second, if you've had hypotension in the past and come off the meds, did you get any effects? I tried coming off them twice but ended up with tingly arms and tight throat within a few hours. Is this normal?

Did you reduce down rather than stop suddenly? Was the Dr aware you were stopping?
Might be worth having a chat to the dr to discuss.

I had pregnancy induced hypertension and weaned myself off the tablets after birth, think I was done with them by my 6 week check with the GP. No issues, but then I was on a fairly low dose I think, only 2 tablets a day. Gradually reduced to one a day until they were done.

@Youdontknowwhatyoureonabout ,

I've gradually reduced from 800mg labetamol and 5mg calcium beta blocker to 2.5mg now. I've had real difficulties with side effects and my blood pressure is still on the high side of normal 130/85. The doctor says I can come off but will check b.p on wed to see if that's ok
