So tired

I’ve been feeling tired for the last month, struggling to get up in the morning and constantly feeling I could go to sleep anywhere. I have been falling asleep during the day, sometimes more than once and also if I’m in the bath. Have been having to set an alarm to remind me to pick the children up or go to work.
I’ve completed an online consultation with my go, but in the meantime has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas about what it could be?

Do you have any other symptoms? Thirsty? Peeing more?

Angelmonkey · 26/04/2021 17:38

Not thirsty or peeing more, only other thing that’s different is that I have been feeling cold, especially my hands and feet

Have you taken your temperature? Might be an idea to do that a few times over the next couple of days to see if there's any kind of pattern there.

Hope it's not long till you can speak to the doctor Flowers

Willdoitlater · 26/04/2021 17:45

Please be very careful not to fall asleep in the bath.

Could it be anaemia?

I've been diagnosed recently and had both tiredness and cold hands/feet as symptoms.

mermaidsariel · 26/04/2021 17:58

Thyroid?

iv got anaemia and it makes you feel so knackered , iv nearly dosed off in the bath and whilst reading a book , and on the bus , its unreal how drained it makes you , i had no idea i had it until a few years ago when my ice addiction and tiredness became too much to bear and i dragged myself to the doctors , get little iron in my diet do i have to take iron tablets to treat it

Low Folate makes me feel like this. Low Vitamin D/low B12 can also cause fatigue....you really need to have some blood tests done.do you take any vitamin supplements?

Dazedandconfused28 · 26/04/2021 22:19

Definitely get your thyroid checked- I hVe hypothyroidism & one of the symptoms (alongside crushing fatigue, weight gain & hair thinning) was feeling cold.

LadyGAgain · 27/04/2021 04:17

Hypothyroidism is a very good shout. And most GP's aren't great at medicating. TSH should be ideally 5. A lot won't medicate until you're at 10 which is bloody nonsense.

Angelmonkey · 29/04/2021 16:49

Thank you all for your replies, I had a blood test yesterday and am just waiting for the results

My moneys on vit D deficiency. Because that's what I've just been diagnosed with and I've felt exactly the same as you!
