i have a tummy bug i think, diahorrea for past day or so but now i have the most painful tummy ache (akin to late stages of labour) which the pain of is making me throw up. What do i do?

DD1 is at a playdate back at 6 and dd2 is with a neighbour, DH was supposed to be working late tonight but is going to come home and normal time.

Go to bed with a hot water bottle, suck ice cubes, otherwise nothing by mouth for at least 12 hours. If you develop a fever or it gets worse, go to out of hours gp, walk in centre or A&E.

With pain like late stages of labour, I would not hesitate to phone your GP or NHS direct. Better to be safe.

If the pain is that bad, I would also say phone GP for advice

Could be appendicitis? Definitely ring the out of hours Dr or if there, the normal one.

Hope you feel better soon x

I had a similar thing a couple of days ago. It really hurts eh? Turned out to be a UTI type thingy. I was this close (HM puts thumb and index finger together really close) to calling an ambulance because our car had died that day. I wanted gas and air, epidural - you know the full works. AND I had no baby to show for my suffering the next day. SO UNFAIR!!!
