Feel ignored by doctors!

I'm posting on here because I feel disregarded by doctors, maybe someone has similar experiences and could ease my mind. These are some of the symptoms I've been experiencing for a while now. Weight loss, when I was weighed by a professional I was having the contraceptive injection which I was refused due to weight 56kg in early December, I went to try again for the injection end of January weighed at 55kg refused again because of bmi. I've weighed myself today and weigh 43kg! Well before covid I was really feeling awful doctors did blood tests to rule out infection came back with no infection but high red blood count. Requested another 1 month later again high red blood count but nothing except fruit and veg was discussed. I went back during covid as I can feel pea sized lumps in my neck sent me for more bloods again high red blood count but was disregarded again as no signs of infection. Headaches, dizziness and muscle aches is what I'm feeling almost everyday and have been prescribed sumatriptan for the headaches. I'm worried its all connected but feel like they won't listen but I don't want to be overreacting at the same time

I understand that the contraceptive injection can make you put on weight but it is concerning about the amount of weight you have lost if you aren't trying. Not wanting to worry you but considering weight loss without trying is a red flag for certain illnesses, you should contact your GP. Unfortunately as we all know from Mumsnet posts that GP services vary from area to area but I would contact them again with your concerns.

If you've been prescribed sumatriptan, they've diagnosed you with migraine, not headache. Triptans only work on migraines, they do nothing for headaches.

Have you got a history of migraine?

starreyeyed · 25/04/2021 16:03

Yeah my area for GPs is shocking. I also feel like they like to push on eating habits. My eating habit has not changed I eat breakfast lunch and dinner and snack in between on days off i often shovel food down because of boredom. If anything
I know how shockingly skinny I am but to see more weight going worries me

Yeah headaches I get frequently and have been giving cocodymal sorry for bad spelling. These end with migraine where I get blurred vision and genuinely feel debilitated i take sumatriptan when I feel the migraine onset

I know not to trust Dr google but I've just typed in high blood count and weight loss and it pop up with Polycythemia which can have a cancerous type I'm sure I would know if I was that unwell but wow my symptoms seem almost on point with this

Definitely go back, you have other symptoms that aren't explained by the migraine diagnosis, nor not eating enough fruit and veg! It may not be anything serious, doctors are trained to identify specific patterns, but ask for a second opinion - can you see a different doctor?

starreyeyed · 25/04/2021 17:44

I get random doctors everytime, maybe the info isn't recorded otherwise I'm sure they would know about these issues being recurring. It's hard since covid hit because they are doing telephone consultations then book in if needed to be seen face to face

With these symptoms you’d assumed your thyroid has been tested. Your symptoms are common with people with hyperthyroidism.

Your High blood count, is that hemoglobin? Could be a symptom of a form of anemia.

starreyeyed · 26/04/2021 14:54

My thyroid has not been tested. And yes I believe high red blood count is hemoglobin. They have tested more into anemia but everything was clear
