Hey
Just wanted to ask a quick question
Took the morning after pill back in December. I had a normal period end of December, however since then I’ve missed my January period and February was a week late but lasted for 5/6 weeks!!! I’ve been for gynae check ups and they can’t seem to find anything wrong ... everyone just keep saying it’s the morning after pill. I took it a few years ago and was fine. Is this normal or am I going crazy?!!! I feel I am!! I just want everything to go back to normal :(
How long does normal take? Its been months now I thought my April period might be normal but I should have had it this week according to my usual cycle and not had anything still. Hope someone can shed some light on a time scale if any of going back to my normal cycle if it is the morning after pill

I’ve taken it a few times, only once for morning after pill , but other times when going on holiday to delay period. At most it delays it 2/3 weeks, in my case. I don’t think as you had a period in December and February that your issues now could be caused by the tablet taken 4 months ago. Have you had blood tests to rule everything else out. You don’t say how old you are, could you be peri menopausal, whereby your periods can be very irregular.

Thanks for messaging

I’m 29

I’ve not had any blood tests yet as the Drs just keep saying to give it a few months because it’s probably the morning after pill that’s messed my cycle up. Also due to COVID it’s difficult to get hold of a Dr over the phone to even voice my concerns. So that’s why I decided to just go to the hospital instead they checked my cervix and did an internal and external ultrasound and said everything looks fine. The only thing they didn’t check were my bloods to see what my hormone levels are. Not sure what could have caused them to go all over the place.
