Anyone had private blood test for thyroid?

Has anyone paid for a blood test for thyroid?

My surgery is not really giving appointments unless they are deemed to be urgent and won't give me one.

I am thinking of paying for a test and there are a few sites online offering them. Are these genuine or would I be wasting my money?

Also if I were to have one and it showed I did have a problem would my GP be likely to accept the results?

If you go to a recognised private medical centre e.g. Spire or Nuffield hospitals, then i think your GP would use the results but I wouldn't do anything online.
