Black eye swelling up

I fell off my bike yesterday when it hit a pot hole. I have fractured my nose & have two whopping black eyes. Tonight under my left eye has started to swell badly and my left eye is nearly closed. Is this normal the day after the accident? Should I be worried? I would have thought 36 hours later swellings would be going down, not getting worse.

How is your eye this morning? Did someone check your eyes at A&E? If not, you should go back.

Have you blown your nose, before the swelling happened and have you had an x-ray done. You can get a fracture in the eye socket from this sort of injury , known as a blow out fracture and this swelling can happen after you blow your nose . If so you will need to be seen by a maxillofacial doctor
