Does anyone know what this could be? 😕

I had my baby 7 months ago, I've been breastfeeding and still am, I haven't had any periods which I've been told is normal. But recently I have been getting lower abdominal pain, feels in the uterus basically. It isn't very painful but its noticeable.
Has anyone else had this and does anyone have an ideas what it could be?

The uterus does contract when you are breastfeeding, it could be that.

I know it was like that for a few weeks after giving birth, but I haven't had anything since then, can you still get that after so long? It hurts when I'm not breastfeeding

It sounds like your first postpartum period might be on its way. The first one can be quite uncomfortable.

Make sure you've contraception sorted, as if I'm right you'll have ovulated already and are potentially very fertile.

I say this as someone who got pregnant when DC1 was almost 7 months, while still breastfeeding.

I got twinges of pain on and off randomly sometimes is the same kind of area many months after starting breastfeeding. I think it was just hormones (I took along time to get my period back as well.) I would go get some medical advice if it's really bothering you, best to put your mind at rest.
