Spot on cervix

I examined myself recently (haven't done it for a long time) and felt a small spot on my cervix. Size is about a quarter of a 5p, approx 3 to 4mm. I had hpv years ago and a colonoscopy. Biopsy at the time showed cells were ok so went back to the 3 yearly checks. Last check was ok and next is due 2022. I'm really worried about this spot. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal to have spots on the cervix? I have felt really tiny ones before and I know it's a little bumpy anyway but this has really worried me. I will call the doctor tomorrow

It’s very normal - Google Nabothian cyst. Smile

I would get checked just in case but yes mostly normal. I had one, all was ok.

Did you have to have a biopsy to confirm it? Or can they just see and know ?

In my case the GP just had a look and could tell! Get booked in for peace of mind Smile

Thank you, I'm waiting to be seen now by GP.

Excellent. Let us know how you get on?

Gp looked and said it looks like a nabothian cyst as it's kind of blue colour. Can they just tell?! She said no need to be referred for a further check

That’s good. I asked that question the reply was can’t say what it is but can say what it’s not.

Busymummy50 · 21/04/2021 01:52

My gp said mine is a nabothian cyst because it looked bluish! But I looked online and it says nabothian cysts are white/yellow colour! What is correct?!
