Was this my period?

Hi,

My thought my period came on yesterday morning.

It was due, I had very mild feeling like it was starting and woke to find it had arrived so no dramas.

Anyway, it was incredibly light for only an hour or so and nothing since. What the hell? The blood was bright red.... could it have been something else? Is it normal to sometimes have a very light / short period?

Mine are always 3-4 days with day 1 being heavier and painful.

Should I be worried? I'm 37 and pretty regular.

Implantation bleed? Could you be pregnant?

Have you had covid vaccine? I've had this in and off for 2 weeks. Lots of light bleeding one day then nothing then more light bleeding, more like spotting. Impossible to be pregnant.
Phoned my dr as I've had a few abnormal smears etc and he said it's not official but loads of people experiencing this (or heavier than ever period) for 1-2 months after vaccine.
Not an official side effect but try Googling "period after vaccine" and you'll see loads of stories!

Not had the vaccine so can't be that, or Covid, or been ill at all. But thank you - that's an interesting side effect that I hadn't heard about.

I guess there's always a chance of being pregnant but no other symptoms. I could do a test tomorrow morning to rule it out.

I've never had anything like this before!

I quite often have a very short bleed a few days before my period starts properly, or I might spot for a few days before it starts. I’m 46 though and have only recently started having periods after years on the mini pill so I’m not sure if I’m ‘normal’ or not?!
