Bleeding piles.. clots?

I've suffered with piles for about 5-6 years on and off. I found out I was pregnant in January but just before they started to become very painful.
I can't walk far as it makes them hurt more. For the past month when having a bowel movement I pass a lot of blood, with clots sometimes.
I've been to GP twice who just examined me and said she saw no active bleeding, gave me anusol and left it at that.
Is it usual for piles to bleed this much, or could it be something more sinister? I feel like saying if they don't help me with them I'll demand a C section!

Hello, I ended up with piles after giving birth to my first baby but after having my second the bleeding got much worse. I ended up wiping and seeing clots a couple of times. Totally freaked out and worried it was something serious...even my gp was worried about that! Ended up being referred to a gastroentrologist who said it's totally normal to get clots with piles (who knew?!) Mine settle down but occassionally flare up. I think if it's a constant problem it's more of a worry due to excess blood loss. Hope that helps.

@Mumma02 thank you. If you're specialist said that, that's made me feel a bit more relaxed as I've been really freaking out. I'm going back to see a different doctor next week x
