Hi

This is the 11th day of my partner being ill (negative Covid test) started with a severe sore throat, sleepiness, no energy, he’s now developed an awful cough and he keeps saying it feels like something is stuck in his throat. The GP suspected laryngitis and said it should ease off by day ten.

Has anyone else had anything like this? The lack of energy and the feeling of something in the throat are the most concerning along with the length of time he’s been ill.
Any advice appreciated.. thank you x

I had this with laryngitis. I couldn't clear my throat and coughing was agony. It only lasted around a week though. I would maybe order another covid test as it might have been a false negative.

Thank you! He’s booked in for a drive through test in the morning just to be on the safe side x

Negative result on a PCR or lateral flow test?

Both, but got him booked in for PCR this morning just to be on the safe side!
