Hypersensitive to smells suddenly - NOT pregnant

Hi, I'm suddenly a bit sensitive to smells, particularly in the morning. For a few days I felt a bit sick too. Hugely reminiscent of pregnancy but definitely not pregnant. Seemed to come on about a week ago when I think was around ovulation. Is this hormonal and what might it indicate? I'm 40, got two kids and have regular periods.

I would do a pregnancy test if your period is late....

What smells exactly? Eucalyptus smells like ammonia to me and other people post covid.

Peri-menopause could be a culprit. I was 40 when mine started and I also still had regular periods.

The same things that I wasn't keen on when pregnant. General staleness in the kitchen, bagged salad, garlic on people's breath, tea, the list goes on.

100% not pregnant as no action in a very long time.
