Sorry - graphic period/discharge question

Right here goes:

I started using the contraceptive patch 3 weeks ago. It has the same hormones as pill. You wear each one for a week and after 3 weeks have a patch free week so you have a period.

Anyway, I took off the third patch on Thursday, and started getting light bleeding on Saturday. Later on in he day I had a lumpy sort of discharge. It was white/cream with some dark red bloody bits. The thing is though it wasn't like a normal discharge or anything, it was more a sort of rubbery solid lump. I know this is disgusting, but I pulled it apart and it seemed more liketissue tearing, and almost seemed to be hollow, like a flat balloon. Sorry if I have been a bit too descriptive, but it was very odd

Anybody ANY idea what this could have been????

Sounds like a blood clot. If so it's just menstrual blood that has collected thickly so forming a clot. Looks a bit like a kidney?

sort of, but it was mainly white. It was also quite big...about an inch.

Dont know about the white colour. sorry.

So if it had been a blood clot would it just have been a bloody colour?

BTW Thanks for trying to help I think it is wonderful to have a place where complete strangers will spend time trying to help others...

Hi,
I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have recently had almost exactly what you described. It kind of freaked me out to be honest. Should I go to the doctor or midwife?
