Sorry to be graphic but has anyone ever had a thrombosis hemorrhoid? If so how did you deal with it without surgery to drain it? I have an external thrombosis hemorrhoid on the opening to my anus and I've been using a pile ointment called germoloid which has helped ease the pain and has got smaller but still bleeds after a bowel movement. Doctor said surgery is best within 3 days but mine is 5 days so dealing with it naturally and been told it may take up to 2 weeks to heal, any tips on how anyone dealt with theirs will be appreciated.
Thanks xx

You need a proper ointment prescribed by a doctor. It has a steroid in it, much stronger than anything you can go out and buy. Uniroid ointment is the best, ask your gp.

Also I've will help loads. A small amount of frozen peas in cling film.

Oh god I feel for you. The pain is horrific!

You need some strong cream from the dr, one that contains lidocaine to also numb the pain a bit. It does pass but takes 2-3 weeks.

Yes, I’ve been there! Blush it was absolutely awful. I recommend scheriproct ointment from GP and hot and cold therapy to shrink them... alternate between a warm bath and an ice cold bath. It shrunk pretty rapidly!
