Pins and needles, anyone else experienced this?

Went to bed a few days ago with pins and needles in my left calf. This worsened and woke up today with pins and needles in my arm and leg.
Was instructed to go to A&E today. Full blood count was fine, normal ECG, normal chest and lung sounds and no abnormalities to suggest blood clot.
I have no other neurological symptoms. Doctors didn’t seem too concerned and suggested a trapped nerve.
I can now slightly feel pins and needles in my right foot, maybe imagining it.
Has anyone else experienced this and what did it turn out to be?
Can’t sleep because I’m worrying.

I have it in my middle and ring finger as I have trapped a nerve in my elbow.

Thanks for the reply. I have to fight tooth and nail to get any sort of GP appointment these days so I’ve come here for advice instead.

I went to my gp who referred me for a nerve function test which came out with this being the cause. I should wear an elbow brace but it makes my arm feel likes it's going to break either below or above as I can't bend at the elbow, it so I've only worn it once.

neural periphery?

Do you have numbness? If not then probably not too much to worry about. I had it on and off for a while, had lots of tests that were all inconclusive so convinced myself it was hormonal

I had something similar, went to the GP and they essentially just told me to ignore it and it would go away and about a week later it did.

It was very disconcerting though, I kept worrying about all the things it could be until it went away! Doc thought I ultimately slept on my arm particularly awkwardly - I give myself a dead arm maybe one night in two or three.

Yes. I ended up in hospital. Pins and needles turned into burning pain which moved around my limbs. They found nothing wrong after scans, X rays and blood tests. Stress was suggested ( Hmm ) but I did lots of research and these symptoms are really common in long covid, which fitted for me. Have you had covid by any chance?

I'd suggest you try magnesium spray before bed on the area, or an Epsom salt bath. Or you can take a magnesium supplement.
It supports the nervous system.
You can buy the spray in Holland & Barrett.

Sciatica? I get it and do some stretches and it goes.

www.nhs.uk/conditions/sciatica/

Lists 'Pins and Needles' as a symptom.
