Beginning of January I had been having a bit of chest pain when exercising. Went to GP -'who sent me to a&e as ecg abnormal. I went on to have an echo which was normal but cardiologist thinks I may have myocarditis as a result of covid. I'm 37 and relatively fit and like to exercise. I'm waiting for an mri scan but actually feel
Ok in myself and gp/cardiologist don't seem to concerned.

My question is, would I be okay to start exercising with my personal trainer - I had covid 6 months ago, but I don't want to do it and make myself worse but gp or cardiologist have not told me to rest or not to any exercise. Any advice

There’s a good Facebook group for viral myocarditis. You should speak to your GP but I have never heard anyone whose had myocarditis told not to exercise - I think you just might not be able to as if there’s damage or scarring to the heart it’ll not function as well and you’ll be struggling for breath and exhausted if you push yourself too much. I would really listen to your body and start with gentle exercise.
