Dizzy, Swollen Ankle and Foot

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this... a few weeks ago I got really dizzy whilst sitting in my bed I felt real panic like I was going to faint. I've had nothing for a couple weeks and then it happened again when I was driving. I had to take deep breaths. I'm thinking are these panic attacks?! Or is there something wrong with my heart. I get palpitations occasionally mostly at night.. over the past few days I've noticed my right foot and ankle slightly swollen (which I've had before and it usually goes away itself) I am very overweight 😑. Last year I had an ECG and the dr said everything was great apart from my heart rate was fast... are these maybe two separate issues... I don't really want to trouble the Dr at the moment..

Dizziness can be linked to panic attacks but also has other benign causes. Were you feeling stressed or anxious at the time?

Please don't worry, op.

I can see how dizziness might be related to a fast heart beat, equally they could share an underlying causes of anxiety. How is your blood pressure?

I will urge you to bother the doctor :) if you don't, its only going to be source of stress and you'll get worked up about it. If these episodes are down to panic attacks, that will make it worse and if not, then worrying about it will make you feel worse anyway.

Speak to your gp, put your mind at rest. Let them run some tests - and check bloods too, things like low iron can cause palpitations etc.

Don't beat yourself up about being overweight either, feeling guilty isn't going to help you and many of us are on the chubbier side right now!

Its all going to be ok.

@TaraR2020 aww thanks for your response. Considering I'm overweight I'm usually in good health blood pressure is always spot on etc. I feel it could be possible anxiety but I don't really have much to feel anxious about.... got my eyes tested the other day and all ok. Will see how I go this weekend then maybe call dr next week.
