Recurrence endometrial cancer stage IIIC

Hi everyone

I’m just posting to ask for some help please. My mums had a hysterectomy about 4 years ago. Unfortunately she now has a recurrence stage IIIC. She has just started chemotherapy. I’m petrified I’m going to lose her.... plus I’ve been Googling and the prognosis seems to be unclear. I’ve read conflicting information... some saying it can be managed... others saying to expect a 12 month survival....

Can someone please give me some hope? Some positive stories please. The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and paraortic lymph node as well. Not any further

Hi OP im so sorry for you and your mum. My DS had endo cancer at 32 but they caught it quickly so im afraid i dont know about this stage, however i had breast cancer and last year and was told to stay away from Google as all the info is 2 years out of date( at least). Have you got a Macmillian nurse? Does she have an Oncologist? I would be wanting to speak to them ASAP and asking dor a prognosis. In the mean time the cancer support board here on General Health is amazing for advice. Best of luck to you all x
