Does this mole look dodgy?

Partner has had this mole for years but it has recently scabbed over like this and looks slightly bigger.

GP was meant to call yesterday after an econsult submission, but didn’t bother. Cant call until Monday now as it’s the weekend.

Does it look worrying? Anyone had similar?

You should always get these things checked. Perhaps photograph it with a ruler or tape measure beside it so you can be sure of its size.

Obviously it needs checking out but it could be a seborrheic keratosis - I have had one on my face for years and it can get dry and crusty. If you Google images you will see what I mean. Totally harmless if it is but please make sure your DP gets it checked.

My dh also has something which looked like that and turned out to be harmless. But yes obviously speak to your Dr.

Thanks for the replies. He’ll definitely be calling to chase it up on Monday but I was hoping for reassurance in the meantime!

I had a one like that on my arm, the whole top came off and was bleeding quite badly, it was taken off within a week, results came back fine. I must of had about 8 moles now removed for changes in appearances, thankfully all have been benign but I keep an eye on them all.

Dr needs to see it, hopefully it will be ok.
