Protopic for eczema. Your experience?

My daughter has been prescribed Protopic for her eczema.
She is on the verge of giving up on it as she says it's causing uncontrollable itching.
She's 3 days in.
Does the itching go away? I've suggested she persevere.
What are your experiences with using this ointment?

I had an ointment based Protopic and didn't get on with it, it made my skin very hot, but from what I remember it did help a bit.
The cream I found best has been Elocon which has (after 40+ years) finally cleared my eczema.

Thanks. Will pass it on about the Elecon.
Are GPs willing to prescribe it? Or did you battle to get hold of it.

I use Protopic and if your DD can hang on in there the burning and itching will soon pass.

I find it amazing stuff, really works for me.

Itching is awful at first but once past that I found it miraculous!
