I an feeling weak and exhausted after several days of diarrhoea and just do not know what to do. I have been woken 4 times tonight and bearly make it to the bathroom.

It is literally like water with mucus.

You might actually be severely constipated and passing what is called overflow. Give gp ring in the morning and explain symptoms, sounds crazy but it’s maybe laxatives you need. This happens when you’ve a solid stool that’s stuck and this overflow diarrhoea passes instead. Maybe not so definitely speak to gp. Take care x

Are you managing to eat still? You may be passing watery diarrhea because that's all that's left. I usually find when i get this that it lasts up to 5 days and i can then catch up on my eating. Eat little bits as you don't want to overload your body with too much and then if you go 2 hours with no movement then eat something else and so on.

If you are in the uk can you call 111 for advice? They might recommend electrolyte replacement drinks given it has gone on for so long

Sorry went back to sleep. It may well be lack of food. When I have eaten it has been more like brown water with the food mixed in.

I dont think its constipation as has been quite soft before then.

I did mention it to the GP earlier in the week, as it started earlier in the week before they put me on abs for an ear infection.

Feel I have so recently had medical input that should be able to mannage at home.

Get medical advice, my son in law has this last winter, it went on with the GP organising tests but nothing came of it. He saw a locum after a month who took one look at his results and sent him to hospital where he was diagnosed with Crohn's.

Thanks, I have previously had lots of tests for IBD which were all neggitive but the D was not as bad
