Desogestrel and acne

This morning was a lightbulb moment when i realised its probably my pill that's giving me horrendous skin.

Im suffering from a terrible outbreak across my forehead and temples. Its actually sore.

Has anyone managed to sort their skin while being on this pill? Or is my only option coming off it which i dont want. The doctors insisted i went on the mini pill because of my age. I don't want to use any other form of contraception. So i feel im kind of stuck at the moment.

For info, im using a gentle cleaner and facial oil on my cheeks only. Ive used Inky list products which helped for the 1st few months and then stopped. I've tried the usual oily skin products like Cerave, Cetaphil, Avene and they made my skin worse. I dug out my acnecide and will try to use that more regularly as i dont know if it really worked the last time i used it.

See the dr, acne’s just a bacterial skin infection like any other bacterial infection it needs medical treatment.

Don’t do what I did and soldier on for a year then finally attend when it’s cystic.

I've actually had issues for about 3 years but it's just particularly bad this week. Ill call the doctors tomorrow. Im just concerned if its the pill causing it then antibacterial treatment isn't going to work long term?

If you kill the bacteria there’s no saying it’ll come back. I took roaccutane in the end and mine hasn’t come back.
