anti-histamines can help i think, and flat coke.

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/11/2007 15:03

Ginger is supposed to be good - can you manage ginger biscuits, or ginger tea? Even ginger ale.

PestoMonster · 08/11/2007 15:05

Go to the chemist and ask for Aludrox. It is a chalky type of liquid stuff, but it works.

Tutter · 08/11/2007 15:27

Metaclopramide is a good anti sickness and anti nausea drug. Have you been to docs?

crokky · 08/11/2007 15:38

If you are sure you are not pg (or bfeeding) then there are a few drugs you can take. Would think you could get one of the docs appts that they hold back for emergencies today and get a prescription.

Tutter · 08/11/2007 15:40

ok

have made appt for 4:30

am bfing, so not sure if i'll be able to take antyhing

Avomine mihght be a good one to suggest to the GP as its used in rpegnancy so unlikely to be dangerous when BF I would imagine, and has bena round for years (also availbale over the counter, so a pharmacist should be able to check if OK for you)- its always been my med of chocie whilst PG

Tutter · 08/11/2007 16:06

i guess it's the v+d bug ds1 had last week

boiled lemonade, my mums swears by it! cooled of course

Pinkchampagne · 08/11/2007 16:08

I take pepto bismol, which I find helps.

thebecster · 08/11/2007 16:12

Best not to take anti-vomiting drugs as they might prolong your illness. If you can bear to drink Dioralyte you should do this to help your system cope, and otherwise drink lots of weak squash or diluted juice - flat liquids. Don't eat anything at all until you've been feeling completely better for 12 hours. You need to starve the bugs into submission Your doctor will advise you best anyway, but hope you feel better soon.
