went to the doctors this morning as I have had 2 lumps 'down there' near the back for a while. Every now and again they get a bit bigger but then go down again. But 2 days ago they got so huge and one of them burst all yucky greeny brown stuff with blood in it {{PUKE}} it keeps filling up with puss filled blood. The doctor had a look and said that she doesn't really know what it is. She said whatever it is feels as though its quite deep under the skin. She thinks it might be a cyst that got infected, so shes given me antibiotics for now and I have got to go back in 10 days if they haven't gone. But what the heck are they going to do if I go back?? I've got images of them chopping a hole in me!!

they will cut and drain it for you - probably refer you to hospital first but you might just be seen quickly and sent home or they might keep you in for a day or 2 for iv antibiotics.

not as bad as it sounds they may just aspirate it using a small needle and they will give you local anaesthetic first

Don't panic!
My Mum has had these before and I had one whilst DH and I some serious stress on our plate.

They are cysts and they come and go with stress. If you are really stressed about something/in general, they appear and will go away on their own, or you can get anti-b's for them.

Ma's doc told her so and he was very confident and knew straight away what she was talking about, there was no doubt that was what causes them.

They feel hard and if you pinch them, feel like they are rooted very deep. They are quite sore to touch also.

That the ones?

I first noticed mine when my knicker elastic in the crotch started to iritate the lump, then it hurt like hell!
Mine just went away. I didn't get the anti-b's as I only need to read the label to break out in horrendous thrush and didn't want that too! LOL

Not nice, but not awful either.

If you get a mirror ;) and have a ganders at them, they should look like big teenage spots some poor peeps get on their backs, the purply angry ones.

Lordy me, men don't know the half of what it's like to be a woman, do they??

I'm not sure if you've the same thing I had, LB, which was an infected Bartholin gland. Mine was self-inflicted after I tried to ride my ds's racing bike, which had a saddle like a razo blade. A course of AB's did the trick and it's never recurred, though that may be because I avoid bikes like the plague now!
