Worrying gastro issues *TMI*

I’ve been to my GP multiple times over the past year about bloating which has been put down to IBS. However, recently I’ve noticed a lot of mucus when going to the bathroom and today noticed that there appeared to be what looked like blood in the toilet (TMI). Going to try to get seen by the doctor tomorrow but I’m scared

Is it fresh blood? It could be that you have an anal fissure.

Going to the doc is the right thing, hope you get some answers.

It doesn’t look fresh but doesn’t look old, I’m only 20 but my Nan had bowel cancer twice
