Pain down below

I’ve got a funny pain down below . It’s like a nerve pain feeling inside - not sure exactly where .

I’ve had surgery to my vulva a couple of times as a teenager (I was born with problems that needed a bit of corrective surgery) but it doesn’t feel like it’s outside (which is where I was operated on), it’s more further in and like an electric shock type feeling .

I’m a bit wary of contacting GP as surgery said they’ll only handle emergencies and this doesn’t feel like that - I’m a bit red raw inside and feel a bit bruised but I’ve been like that before . I’m always told when I go for smears etc that it looks very sore/inflamed, but told to just use thrush cream/replens .

I’m getting a bit of spotting too, but I’ve recently started the pill .

Worth trying replens again? Can’t do any harm I suppose . Has anyone else had similar?

When I’m saying spotting it’s more like normal discharge is streaked with blood, it’s not heavy or anything . It’s a horrible sharp pain every so often, takes my breath away each time it happens . I think I probably should contact GP but I’m scared of being examined or being laughed at for wasting their time .

I've not had similar but I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. I'd say it's bad enough to call the GP personally, they'll decide whether you need to be seen anyway. It sounds like you'd need a referral for gynae

Thank you Flowers I used to see gynaecology all the time as a teenager, it’s silly that I’m petrified of it now . I think I’m going to need to be a bit braver and ring the GP tomorrow - the pains only started last few days really but think probably do need advice at least, even if they tell me over the phone it’s probably just thrush at least then I’ll have tried .

Have stuck an econsult into surgery; receptionist said it might not need seeing so hopefully get something sorted soon .

So GP surgery said up to 4 working days to get just email acknowledging appointment . Am I wrong to think if I were a man in a similar position would get advice on the day, probably . Hopefully it’s nothing at all but so bloody sore .
