Thyroid thing maybe?

I’ve submitted an eConsultation this morning but I just wondered if anyone had any ideas what this could be?

I’ve had a sore neck where it meets the bottom of my neck for a couple of weeks. At first I thought it was muscular as it’s painful to touch all the way along the neck and up onto the back of my head but it’s accompanied by a persistent sore throat, mildly painful swallowing, earache and a headache. I noticed earlier on that I also have pain on the left front side of my neck, on my thyroid. I’m not really sure if it’s slightly swollen/lumpy or not - I don’t tend to feel my neck a lot! I don’t have a temperature but I am getting very hot or cold easily. I feel run down and tired but I have two small children and have recently upped my sertraline so put it down to that.

I don’t know if I’ve just got a weird virus or something else? I’m starting to worry a bit.

If I push on the bit that’s sore I can kind of feel a ‘popping’ sensation Confused it’s like a small lump that clicks?
