Does anyone use the implant contraceptive - or any longterm really - advice needed

Hiya,
I had the implant in January 2006, so very close to 2years.
My body settled pretty well with it, no longterm bleeding or anything like that.

However, I have had a bleed today, feels like a period due to pains etc, but not too sure why it's happened.

As anyone else had any sort of bleed similar?

well, I had bleeding all throughout having my implant in....and had it removed after almost 2 years, because it was just getting ridiculous. The GP told me, that most women don't have problems like that, but that towards the end of the time bleeding can occur even in those women that had none...so, maybe it's a sign that the hormone level is slowly lowering.
A friend of mine was told that she would have to have a new implant in after 2 years ratehr then 3, due to her weight...and she isn't actually , what I consider, a big girl...but apparently there is a weight range, etc...
